Our local partners include: Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, Girls Inc of Greater Santa Barbara, United Way of Santa Barbara, Transition House, The Village & The Lighthouse, Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara, and Girls Inc of Carpinteria. Boys & Girls Club
These 6-week programs teach the basics of surfing in a safe, fun and supportive environment. Each week students bond as a group discussing their goals and the fears they are working to overcome, followed by classes on ocean safety, beach conditions, and catching and riding waves.
Mermaid Warriors
Smart, Strong and Bold! In partnership with Girls Inc., we empower girls by providing Mermaid Warrior programs to two local Girls Inc. centers, three times a year. Students learn to speak their truth, support each other in overcoming fears, and dive into adventure together.
Transition House
By offering emergency shelter, housing, homelessness prevention services, and comprehensive youth programs, Transition House works to end the cycle of poverty and homelessness - and our special Surf Days provide children and teens a day of fun and friendship.
Camp Hana Hou
Camp Hana Hou is for kids out-living cancer and their families. Cottage Hospital social worker Sebastian Lebeau tells us, “This camp is amazing for these families who have been through the toughest of challenges, to give them a happy and safe place to feel free is incredibly important, ”
