Community Outreach Surf Days

We believe surfing can inspire people of all ages to "step out of the norm" and realize their full potential.  That's one of the reasons we facilitate free SURF DAYS to serve at-risk and underprivileged youth in our local community.  This program promotes teamwork, boosts self-esteem, and contributes to building the confidence and positive outlook.

What's a SURF DAY look like?  We start with a lesson in ocean safety and knowledge and move quickly into the fundamentals of surfing to get everybody standing.  We also take some time to play some fun beach games to build camaraderie and provide a presentation on environmental education and ocean stewardship including a beach cleanup. All of these activities encourage personal empowerment and help promote a healthy lifestyle and a bond with the ocean that will last a lifetime!
