3rd Annual Transition House Surf Day
Transition House of Santa Barbara provides transitional and permanent supportive housing to families with children that strive for a better life. Our 3rd Annal Transition House Surf Day brought 20 kids down to Santa Claus Lane for a unforgettable day. The 5 hour beach day included a dodgeball game, ocean safety and surfing history lesson, surfing technique and in water practice, and yummy lunch by Nutbelly Pizzeria and Deli & Trader Joe's - Santa Barbara,CA. The day also included our HIGH5 presentation with "solutions to plastic pollution" talk and the kids took our HIGH5 pledge to "pick up 5 pieces of trash every time you go to the beach". We love supporting this great local organization by giving the youth an opportunity to be touched by the natural world and feel the empowerment of riding a wave. Stoke all around!
