What we've been up to at Surf Happens Foundation

Scholarships

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to build a healthy relationship with the ocean. In 2021 we continued to provide access to summer surf camp and weekly after-school surf classes.

Joey has been a recipient of your foundation for the past 6 years and I truly believe that because of your surfing program all aspects of his life have flourished and given him the confidence to try new things. He continues to surf, dance, is in 3 singing groups in jr. high, and best of all is a straight-A student!"

Surf Days

In 2021 we continued to limit our group Surf Day program due to Covid restrictions. We were however able to gather a few small groups to experience the joy of surfing and learn about keeping our oceans clean.

We're looking forward to relaunching this program in full summer 2022!

Beach Cleanups

In 2021 we continued our weekly summer beach cleanups and sharing our HIGH5 Program with all our students. Our annual partnership with California Coastal Cleanup Day saw 60 pounds of trash removed from Santa Claus Lane!
