Transition House Surf Day 2022

2022 is a wrap! Looking back on this year we are grateful for our incredible team of volunteers, community partners, and fellow non-profit communities who all come together to share the Joy of Surfing. The past few years have been difficult as we navigated the pandemic community and we celebrate the gift of bringing kids and families together again in 2022.

This summer's Camp Hana Hou was the first in-person event for the families of the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation in over 2 years. We believe those we serve through our non-profit communities were hit the hardest during the pandemic and our work in the community is needed more than ever.  To see the kids lit up as they enjoyed a day of fun and surfing is what fuels our fire!

1. Transition House Surf Day

2. Girls Inc Carpinteria Surf Day

Date: Friday, July 1st 10am-2pm, Santa Claus Lane Beach

3. Camp Hana Hou for Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation

Date: Saturday, July 23rd 10am-2pm, Santa Claus Lane Beach

4. Scholarships

We continue to provide summer specific and year-round scholarships 

5. Environmental Stewardship

We continue to share the HIGH5 Campaign with all our students at Surf Happens and organize beach cleanups through the year

-California Coastal Cleanup Day

Date: Saturday, September 17th 9am-12pm, Santa Claus Lane Beach

2023 is on the horizon and we look forward to expanding our Surf Days to reach more kids in our community who can benefit from the healing powers of the ocean.
